This morning started with grey skies, rain and high winds, which is not atypical for Anglesey. However, as the morning progressed, the clouds cleared and the sun came out, so I called my friend Lucy to see if she wanted to go for another dog walk, the two of us having spent a couple of hours walking the dogs - Tilly, Nando and Lila - yesterday around Penrhos.
Today, we decided to go to Llanfairyneubwll for a walk along the beach towards Rhoscolyn. We were joined by Tors and her dog Scrabble.
We took our time to walk the three mile round trip to Rhoscolyn and back and the dogs has a great time running around, chasing sticks and low-flying birds. As we approached Rhosneigr, we spent some time watching the acrobatic kite surfers braving the elements and apparently having a great time.
The wind, that was gusting in excess of 35 knots, was behind us on the way back to the cars and was much more pleasant than it was on the outward leg.
Overall, a pleasant and worthwhile use of two hours or my weekend.
